Financial

Wijnne Barends handles the complete financial management of vessels on behalf of shipowners. We provide support with comprehensive ship bookkeeping, budget monitoring, payment transactions, and financial reporting, ensuring owners always have up-to-date insight into their ship’s financial performance. Additionally, we arrange all relevant insurance and assist with administrative and financial processes related to the purchase and sale of vessels. With a transparent and efficient approach, we offer insight, control, and continuity.

Ship financing

There are various options and financial structures available for financing ships. This applies to new builds, purchases, and refinancing. Thanks to our experience, we assist in finding a suitable financing solution. Based on a tailored approach, we advise on solutions aligned with operational and financial goals, with continuity, flexibility, and a sound financial foundation at the forefront.

Crewing

On behalf of shipowners, Wijnne Barends handles the recruitment, selection and crewing of vessels. We put the needs of both crew and owner first, within the applicable legal frameworks. This includes full payroll administration and salary processing for all crew members. We arrange crew changes, including flights, visas, hotel stays, training and certificates. Our crewing team visits our vessels regularly, takes part in open days at maritime schools and contributes to national and international crewing projects.

QHSSE

The QHSSE department is the foundation of safe, responsible and efficient ship management at Wijnne Barends. QHSSE stands for Quality, Health, Safety, Security & Environment. Our team ensures quality, safety, security, working conditions and environmental protection across the entire fleet, supporting both vessels and shore-based operations in meeting national and international regulations. Our work includes: Full management of ship certificates | ISM / ISPS and MLC certification | Vetting and inspection support | Risk assessments and safety management | Manuals and document management. Our QHSSE specialists work every day to raise safety, quality and sustainability standards. Through close collaboration with crews, clients and authorities, we deliver reliable and future-proof maritime operations.

Technical management

In consultation with the owner, the Wijnne Barends superintendent carries out the nautical and technical management of the ship. We take care of the extension, amendment and renewal of ships’ certificates. In addition we supervise hull damage claims and bring them to a conclusion.

Sale & purchase

We are continually looking for ways to expand the fleet composition. For this we structurally seek out the chances and possibilities that the market has to offer.
